Just how much water should you drink? Let’s start by putting water into perspective. Did you know that approximately 70% of the earth is covered in water and that your body is made up of about 70% water? Since scientist have uncovered how much water plays a part is our bodies physiology it makes sense that you and I should drink plenty of water everyday.
Now your’e probably thinking how much water is enough? A good rule of thumb to follow is divide how much you weigh in half and whatever that amount is; you should drink in ounces of course. For example; 150 lbs would be 75 ounces of water.
If you are not accustomed to drinking water or prefer the taste of juices and soda; a good way to slowly get used to drinking water is to add a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime. Water helps flush out the impurities in the body including toxins, excess fat and believe it or not excess fluid.
If you have a problem with swelling also known as (Edema) drinking water will help to reduce swelling because more water in willresult in more water out. Drinking water will also relieve dry skin by replacing much needed moisture.
